The most awaited Samsung Galaxy S IV is out in the market. Talking about it's technical aspects it is one of the most power Android phone in the market. It is manufactured by Samsung Electronics, announced on March 14, 2013 in New York.(released in India on April 26, 2013). Powered with latest Jelly Bean android operating system. Belonging to the Samsung galaxy S series is the successor to the Galaxy S III.
Technical Specification:
Physical dimension of 136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9 mm (HxWxD) and weigh around 130 g runs on latest Android operating system "Jelly Bean" (Android 4.2.2). A Full HD (1080p) super AMOLED 4.99 inch display with a pixels density of 441.46 pixels per inch gives you very sharp display. Back camera resolution of massive 13 megapixel with auto focus and an integrated flash can record 1080p Full HD video and front camera with resolution 2 megapixel. Having a RAM of 2 GB,internal storage of 16, 32 and 64 GB (vary according to models) and support micro-SD removal storage up to 64 GB powered by 1.6 GHz quad core and 1.2 GHz quad core (model GT-19500 version) and 1.9 GHz quad core (model GT- 19505 version) and tri-core SGX 544 GPU (graphic processing unit) or Adreno 320 (vary with model). Comparison with previous Galaxy S3
The Galaxy S4 looks similar to Galaxy S3 but having a larger screen than S3. It has the rounded corner but has a slightly squarer look like the Galaxy S2. The S4 also is taller, thinner as well as lighter than S3. Improved camera from 8MP to 13 MP in Galaxy S4 and also camera software up-gradation and better processor. The RAM has been doubled from 1GB to 2GB. Larger battery than the previous Galaxy S3's 2100 mAh to 2600 mAh. S3 runs on Android 4.1.2, galaxy S4 upgraded Android 4.2.2 with Samsung TouchWiz interface.
The Galaxy S4 does have new features including Smart Scroll, Smart Pause and Air Gesture.
Comparison with Apple iPhone 5
The Galaxy S4 has larger screen than iPhone 5 of screen size of 5 inch and 4 inch respectively, also having higher screen resolution of Full HD1080 X 1920 with pixel density of 441 ppi compare to iPhone retina display of 640 X 1136, pixel density of 326 ppi. Galaxy S4 comes in 16 GB, 32GB and 64 GB models just like iPhone 5. iPhone has 8Mp camera but Galaxy S4 has a higher resolution 13 Mp camera. It can record video in Full HD 1080p while the iPhone 5 limits around 720p. Galaxy has large removable battery of 2600mAh on the other hand iPhone 5 has a non- removable battery of 1440mAh.
