The applications designed for the phone can run on the desktop as well. Because Ubuntu touch utilizes the same core technologies as Ubuntu desktopWhich allows Ubuntu touch devices to provide a full desktop experience when connected to an external monitor. It may also turn into a full desktop operating system when plugged into a docking station. So Ubuntu user can perform office work or even play arm games on such device.
It doesn't have a overhead of java virtual machine, so core apps run at full native speed with a small memory footprint. So hardware specifications will be less.

Ubuntu touch is also coming with Ubuntu one account to synchronises the user's photos and files to the cloud. one more feature is the online music store, where you can buy your favorite melodies. Ubuntu touch also comes with core applications for social media and media applications such as Facebook, you tube and an RSS reader.

Ubuntu phone comes with excellent touch features, means one can do a lot of thing just swiping the screen in different manners, for instance you open your social networking app just by swiping through the right edge. It aims to go even further with the feature of multitasking where u can split your screen for two different applications just like Samsung Galaxy s3.
