Paper Tab

What is a Paper Tab?
The Paper Tab is flexible tab with a 10.7 inch touch screen, E-Ink display and it is powered by Intel processor. It's thickness, looks and also feels like a sheet of paper. And it can interact with a flick of corner.

Developed by
Based on the idea of mixing traditional paper with new, created by Canadian researchers from Queen's University Human Media Lab of Ontario, Canada in partnership with Plastic Logic and Intel. Paper tab is still a research prototype of flexible, interactive  and high resolution tablet computer.

Specification and Details
The Paper Tab is powered by the second generation Intel® Core i5 processor. With a fully interactive, flexible  touch screen having a high-resolution 10.7 inch plastic display developed by Plastic Logic. Unlike tablets, which switch between apps on a single display, multiple paper tabs are designed which can be used together. Each tab acts as a window for separate applications, but they can still interact with each other.
for example emailing someone, the user is able to write an email on one paper tab, while using another one can attach an image within the email and can send and the email by bending the top corner of the tab. Also placing tabs side by side can create a large display surface.

more detail are demonstrated in the video below.

Unfortunately, the tab is still a prototype and there has been no announcement of it price or it releasing date.
